Join the UIC Heritage Garden for the annual Spring Seed Swap! We invite gardeners, organizations, and community members interested in learning more about gardening, environmental sustainability, and social justice. Anyone can come to share knowledge, stories, and resources with others, and make new friends from around the city.
Admission is free! Participants do not need to bring seeds to attend. Masks are required indoors.

Volunteer Days at the UIC HEritage garden
Presented by the UIC Heritage Garden
Have you ever wanted to get involved with gardening at UIC? Help us prepare for the Spring!
Join us for some hands-on gardening and learn how Heritage Garden interns are connecting horticulture with environmental sustainability, cultural diversity, and social justice. Activities will vary, but may include weeding, pruning, or potting up plants. Be prepared to get your hands dirty, make new friends, learn new skills, and have fun!
Limited spots available! Take free seeds and tea when you come volunteer!
These events will be mostly outdoors: tools, gloves, and all other gardening materials will be provided. All levels of gardening skills are welcomed.
Masks are available and required indoors.

LCC ARTIVISM: Stronger Together: Artmaking for a Better World
Presented by the UIC Latino Cultural Center
This Valentine’s Day, ignite your creative potential through artmaking in community with one another to advocate for a better world. Join us and create protest art to stand in solidarity with Chicago's im/migrant communities.
Bring an old poster to repurpose or create a new one. Art supplies will be provided while they last.
