INGREDIENTS:
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tsp freshly graded ginger root
- 1 cup pure peanut butter
- 1 tbs honey
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (or more)
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tbs apple cider vinegar
- 3 cups water (or broth)
- 1 tbs salt
- a dash of tamari
- 2 tbs butter (or ghee)
DIRECTIONS:
- Sauté onion, garlic, bay leaf, and ginger root until onion becomes translucent.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.
- This sauce can be served over veggies, tofu, chicken, or whatever sounds good to you!
