• 1 large Raw Mango
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 4-5 Crushed Black peppercorns
  • Black Salt (kala namak) to taste
  • A pinch of Asafoetida (hing)


  1. Wash and boil the raw mango. Let it cool.
  2. Then, peel, mash and strain the pulp.
  3. Add cumin powder, crushed peppercorns, black salt, asafeotida and sugar to it.
  4. Mix well till the sugar is completely dissolved. 
  5. Divide the mixture into 4 glasses and fill with chilled water. Stir well and serve.
